Course Description
The IELTS (Global) Prep Course with Eduva prepares students for the International English Language Testing System by developing all four English skills including Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking, familiarizing the students with the test format, and teaching strategies to achieve their desired score for higher education and/or migration.
The course with Eduva will provide experienced and trained IELTS instructors with international pedigree. The classes will be conducted online, utilizing Eduva’s Student Dashboard ensuring students to track their progress in real-time.
Course Content
Week 1 – Introduction & Diagnostic
- Class 1: IELTS overview, band descriptors, diagnostic test (short reading/listening tasks).
- Class 2: Listening Part 1–2 strategies (note-taking, keywords) + short practice.
- Class 3: Speaking Part 1 (introductions, common topics, fluency practice).
Week 2 – Reading Focus
- Class 1: Skimming & scanning skills, Reading Part 1 practice.
- Class 2: Reading True/False/Not Given & Matching Headings tasks.
- Class 3: Speaking Part 2 (cue card, structure, useful linking phrases).
Week 3 – Writing Task 1 (Academic/General)
- Class 1: Task 1 overview (charts/letters), analyzing question types.
- Class 2: Language for comparisons, data description / formal tone.
- Class 3: Listening Part 3 practice (multiple choice, note completion).
Week 4 – Writing Task 2 (Essay)
- Class 1: Essay structure (introduction, body, conclusion).
- Class 2: Developing ideas + cohesion/coherence.
- Class 3: Reading Part 2 focus (matching info, sentence completion).
Week 5 – Deep Practice
- Class 1: Speaking Part 3 (discussion, opinion building).
- Class 2: Writing Task 2 timed practice + peer/teacher feedback.
- Class 3: Listening Part 4 (lecture, note/table completion).
Week 6 – Integrated Skills
- Class 1: Mixed Reading practice under time limits.
- Class 2: Writing Task 1 full timed practice.
- Class 3: Speaking mock test (Parts 1–3).
Week 7 – Exam Strategies
- Class 1: Reading full test practice + error analysis.
- Class 2: Listening full test practice + error analysis.
- Class 3: Speaking feedback clinic (fluency, accuracy, pronunciation).
Week 8 – Mock Test & Review
- Class 1: Full Writing Task 2 under exam conditions.
- Class 2: Full Listening or Reading timed test.
- Class 3: Final Mock Speaking test + feedback + exam day tips
Learning Objectives
IELTS learning objectives focus on developing proficiency in all four English language skills – Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking – by understanding the test format, improving vocabulary and grammar, and mastering test-taking strategies to achieve the required band score for academic, professional, or migration purposes. Eduva will proactively ensure students meet and excel at all learning objective requirements of IELTS focusing on the following objectives-

- Listening: Understand different English accents, identify main ideas and implied information, and develop note-taking skills to answer various question types.
- Reading: Comprehend academic and general reading passages, understand different question types, and develop skimming and scanning techniques.
- Writing: Construct coherent and cohesive essays and letters that meet task requirements, using appropriate grammatical range and accuracy, and effective vocabulary.
